Reaching Aids
I’m sure that I am not the only person who finds the advert for Maoam sweets irritating, when the man uses a reaching aid (otherwise known as a grabber) to pinch his partner’s sweets.
But on the other hand I cannot sing the praises of this gadget enough. When my elderly great-aunt found it increasingly difficult to bend she found this gadget invaluable – saving much pain and frustration in being able to use it to pick up dropped items off the floor or whatever surface with ease.
Subsequently, when my mother accidentally fractured her hip she found that during her recuperation period her range of movement was rather limited and the reaching aid was again worth its weight in the proverbial gold.
There is a range of reaching aids on the market to suit all requirements but in general it can be said that their ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip which is easy to use and does not put a strain on the hand.
So if you struggle to bend or rise easily, or find dropping objects on the floor a source of frustration and discomfort, why not try out a reaching aid from Eltham Care & Mobility.

It could save your temper and keep the swear box emptier for longer!
